Location. The Angel Inn is located in Stoke By Nayland, England. The hotel is eight miles from Flatford, in what is known as 'Constable Country', named after John Constable, the English painter. Colchester and its railway station are eight miles away and Stansted airport is 45 miles from the hotel.
Hotel Features. The Angel Inn is set in a 16th century oak beamed coaching house, now an archetypal English country pub and hotel. The bar has leather sofas and an open log fire, and there is a patio for enjoying a pint outdoors. Complimentary parking can be found nearby.

Expert Tip. The mill at Flatford was the model for that in Constable's painting 'The Hay Wain' and the Bridge Cottage there is now home to an exhibition of his paintings. There are a variety of pleasant walks along the river Stour through the quintessential 'Constable Country'.
