Location. The Gables Hotel is located in Gretna Green, Scotland, set amongst lawned gardens, floral borders, and shady trees. It is situated in the centre of town, one mile away from the historic wedding venue of the Old Blacksmith's Shop. The city of Carlisle, with its Cathedral and Castle, is located nine miles away and Robert Burns house, now a museum, is 22 miles from the hotel.
Hotel Features. This boutique hotel is a smoke free property which can offer banquet facilities and laundry services. The staff at the front desk can provide extra towels, linen, or bedding on request and complimentary parking is available outside the hotel.
Gables Hotel offers meals from both the Borders Restaurant and Saddlers Bar. Borders Restaurant offers traditional Scottish dishes, a cooked complimentary breakfast and a complimentary continental buffet. Home cooked food is served at Saddlers Bar, a more informal venue. Room service is also available on request.
Guestrooms. The 31 guestrooms are decorated in shades of cream and gold and have pine furnishings. The televisions are equipped with digital channels and there are also direct dial phones. The hotel offers coffee and tea facilities and complimentary Scottish shortbread. The bathrooms come with complimentary toiletries and hair dryers.
